2 Surefire Ways to Save Big on Christmas Gifts

2 Surefire Ways to Save Big on Christmas Gifts

Do you know how to save hundreds, or even thousands of bucks on Christmas gifts each year? Do you know you could be wasting that much of money on Christmas gifts every year without even knowing it? Let me tell you how!

The common dilemma faced by most individuals about buying Christmas gifts is that: they would not want to settle for anything less than a stellar item. They believe that any gift which is less than stellar would make them lose their faces in front of the gift recipients, who, more often than not, happen to be their close relatives and friends!

On the other hand, money being tight on most people’s hands, many won’t like to spend beyond a certain limit on Christmas gifts. Can you have the best of both worlds – that is, getting what you want and that too, for a bargain? Yes, you certainly can, and in this article I will tell you how to do just that!

1. Start shopping early: Early shopping is one of the surefire ways of getting just the right gifts for yourself. It is generally a good idea to start shopping for Christmas gifts right from the day that comes after Thanksgiving Day, also known as Black Friday. Believe it or not, the negative term of the day has nothing to do with Christmas gifts. You would be surprised at how many people queue up at the stores to get the best possible deals for themselves and their loved ones. You may laugh your heart out at them but they are smarter than you in shopping so early. Here is why!

Many stores want to clear their old inventory as fast as possible. For this, they even offer early bird discounts to attract buyers to their stores. This means that if you start shopping for Christmas gifts early, you can save as much as 50-55%PRCTG% on toys, 15-20%PRCTG% on DVDs, etc. You can even get 14-karat pure gold bracelets for as little as just %20! If you are lucky enough (or let us say, if you make a certain amount of purchase), you may even qualify for free gifts! It just could not get many better than that!

So what should you do? On and from this year, make it a habit to mark the Thanksgiving Day on your calendar, whether or not you celebrate it. Make sure you queue up at your local shopping store the day after Thanksgiving Day, at the crack of dawn! Grab the great goodies from there and make your loved ones happy, while staying within your budget!

Wait! Do you have credit cards and an internet connection at home? If so, you may not even need to venture out of home at all! Do you know that you can buy Christmas gifts from online stores for cheaper than the price charged by your local retail store?

2. Look for and take advantage of all the deals and coupons possible: I told you that many shops give you early bird discounts if you start shopping quite early. However, are you sure you are taking advantage of all the great deals and coupons available to you? Unless you are a veteran Christmas shopper, chances are that you don’t even know about most of these deals.

My suggestion is that you start hunting and collecting all the deals and coupon codes you can for Christmas gifts. Once again, you can find plenty of such discount coupons right under your nose if you shop online! Other places to look for special deals on Christmas are discount deals websites, online forums and communities (preferably those that are directly attached to the stores you would be shopping at; as an example, Amazon.com has a forum where their customers can network and discuss stuff). The good thing about forums is that even if you cannot find what you want, you can always ask the forum members!

Don’t forget to check the good old newspaper daily! Often you would find a few surprise discounts offered by giant retail stores on seasonal items such as Christmas gifts. You can take advantage of such deals and save yourself a little cash in the process!
